ASSISTANT MANAGER

You are passionate about supporting your Cafe Manager and Barista team. As the Assistant Cafe Manager you will be an essential member of daily cafe operations. You uphold all Belle Surf standards and values and ensure your team is abiding by all company policies and procedures. You ensure consistent, amazing guest service and oversee product inventory, employee training, scheduling, product quality and safe work practices.
1-2 years of retail management experience
Hawaii Food Handler's Certificate

BARISTA POSITION

At Belle Surf we care about our coffee, we only serve the best beans, in a European chic and bohemian environment.
If you like to share and serve amazing coffee, while creating friendly relation with customers, then Belle Surf cafe is the right place for you.
Your position will involve making coffee, taking order and do some food prep tasks, to prepare good looking and good tasting food, bites and crepes (formation provided)
Job Duties:
- Greet customers with a smile. Provide friendly, efficient and personal service to each customer.
-Accurately process transactions in the POS system. Basic math and computer skills
- Educate customers on all of our products, actively sell our coffee and retail products.
-Prepare and serve the highest quality Coffees by following our standards and recipes.
-Support your team in keeping the cafe running smoothly and beautifully - these tasks may vary but can include washing dishes, clearing dishes, sweeping, dusting, mopping, cleaning, organizing, stocking and taking out trash.
-Be Reliable and consistent - your manager and teammates can always depend on you to be punctual, looking sharp.
-Communicate with team members, Team Leads and your manager to solve problems and improve service. Support a positive work environment.
Some shifts will include food prep duties:
-Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
-Follow recipes and presentation specifications
-Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation--
-Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment
-Restock items as needed throughout the shift
-Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
Prior experience in a restaurant or cafe environment prefered but the right attitude is the most important.
Flexible hours;
Must be able to work some weekends and some holidays
Food service and/or barista and latte art skills are a plus!
Food Handler's Certification required (test can be taken after contract signed)
